The Little White Bus is a community service providing scheduled travel to the residents of, and visitors to Upper Wensleydale and Swaledale in North Yorkshire.

Founded in 2011 by the late John Blackie, we carry in excess of 60,000 passengers each year across 500,000 miles of some of the most beautiful countryside in England
The Little White Bus
Our dedicated team of paid and volunteer drivers are all Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS) trained and all have been Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) approved by North Yorkshire County Council.
Our fleet of Mercedes Sprinter minibuses carry up to 16 passengers from Richmond and Leyburn in the East, heading to Reeth, Keld, Hawes and Garsdale in the West.
We also run day services from Richmond to nearby market towns and major shopping locations in our region.
In addition to our scheduled services we also deliver Home to School transport services for North Yorkshire County Council.
Main Visitor Attractions
You can book day trips from Wensleydale and Swaledale to main visitor attractions, and specialist trips to see red squirrels at Snaizeholme, or transfers from Wensleydale to Swaledale and back.

Drive for us
We are always on the look-out for new volunteer drivers. To drive our buses you need to have the category D1 on your licence, or you need to have a professional driving qualification (PSV). D1 categorisation was automatically added to all licences first issued before 1st January 1997.

We always do our best to run the service as per the timetables.
Sometimes, the weather and other service issues (Pheasants, rabbits, deer or escaped sheep!) the better of us and we need to make last-minute changes to the schedule.
